Stir Fry Noodles

Socket has been busy taking cooking classes with Dale Sniffen and would love to share some of his favorite recipes with you. Make sure that you get Mum or Dad to help you in the kitchen.

Pork and Noodle Stir Fry

Serves 4 to 6 people
Preparation Time: 15 Minutes
Cooking Time: 15 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 500g thinly sliced pork steak or fillet
  • 2 tablespoons grape seed oil;
  • 1cm ginger crushed
  • 2 cloves, crushed and chopped
  • ½ red chilli, chopped
  • ½ red capsicum thinly chopped
  • 1 bunch bok-choy, washed and leaves separated
  • 1 packet noodles, pre-cooked or hokkein noodles
  • 2 tablespoons salt-reduced soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
  • Chopped nuts for garnish

Method

  1. Combine soy and sweet chilli sauce and set aside.
  2. Pre-heat a non-stick wok on medium heat for 3 minutes.
  3. Sear off pork in batches until golden brown, and then set them aside to rest.
  4. Quickly sauté ginger, garlic and chilli for 30 seconds in a little grape seed oil until fragrant.
  5. Add capsicum and stir-fry until tender but still crunchy.
  6. Add cooked pork and bok-choy, stir fry until hot.
  7. Lower heat, add sauce mix to taste.
  8. Toss in cooked or ready-to-go noodles until warmed through.
  9. Portion out evenly into 4 or 6 bowls and garnish with chopped nuts.
